Without a proper operating engine and carburetor combination you will never be competitive in racing. Many racers rebuild their own engines. Also, many racers will give you different techniques of the rebuild process. I encourage any racer to attempt a rebuild of his/her own, but seek out assistance and technical advice before doing so.
